UOA Privacy Policy
The following states UOA Group’s policy relating to the collection, storage and use of personal information. The purpose of this policy is to reassure UOA Group’s business partners our commitment in maintaining their right and expectation to privacy.

Collection of Personal Information
Personal information is generally defined as information or an opinion that can identify a person. The type of personal information that UOA collects from its clients/customers is based on their dealings with UOA.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
The nature and operation of UOA’s many businesses warrants it to collect and retain a data bank of personal information and its policy to disclose or use personal information for the purpose specified and/or in cases where such information is reasonably apparent at the time the information is collected and/or for any other related purposes for which the client/customer would reasonable expect it to be used.

Sharing Information with Other Organizations
UOA does not share personal information outside the UOA Group of companies and does not sell such personal information. The only circumstances whereby other organizations may have access to personal information of UOA’s clients/customers is via UOA contractors and service providers who may be engaged/commissioned to assist UOA in the operation of its business and/or to provide customer service; for example, companies maintaining UOA computer systems and providing dispatch, courier and mailing services.

Marketing
UOA may mail advertising/promotional materials to its clients/customers, where such advertising materials are related to the purpose for which the information was collected. The client/customer may elect not to receive such advertisings/promotional materials from UOA by indicating their election at uoacare@uoa.com.my.

Security of Personal Information
UOA will take reasonable steps to protect personal information collected and endeavor to ensure that such information is accurate and up-to-date. UOA Group employees are required to maintain confidentiality of clients/customers’ personal information.

Future Changes
UOA Group reserves the right to change and/or amend the Privacy Policy in the manner and at the time as it thinks fit. An updated version containing all changes and/or amendments will be posted on the UOA website www.uoa.com.my at to serve as notification of the change(s) and/or amendment(s).
